Registration and Classes

Registration is open now. Call or email today for a tour or registration packet! We look forward to meeting you.

Save On Enrollment Fee

New students save 25 percent on their enrollment fee. Returning students save $40 on enrollment by signing the Intent to Enroll form and making payment on the enrollment fee by June 30.

COVID plan

We will continue to follow state and local directives and recommendations to keep our students safe, such as handwashing. Masks are not required.

School Schedule

We're right across the street from our sister school, Upper Columbia Academy (grades 9-12), so the two schools stay mostly on the same calendar schedule. Our schedule provides time off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break, as well as days off periodically during the year. You can view the calendar using the "View the calendar/handbook" button above.

Cub Club

There's a parent-led childcare cooperative for before and after-school care located on UCA campus across the street from UCAES. It is not administered by UCAES, so parents need to make arrangements directly with Stephanie Gladding, the director. This information will be available at registration or can be emailed to you if requested. Cub Club runs from 7:45 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Friday. Cub Club is typically not open over school breaks, but you can discuss possible options with the director for a given break.

Looking for a Christian school with strong academics? Ways UCAES benefits your student:

Young girl in school logo t-shirt, wearing a mask but obviously smiling, holds a Bible in one hand and a class coloring assignment in the other.
  1. Small class sizes with low student-to-teacher ratio
  2. Above-average school test results. On the spring 2022 MAP tests, for example,
    1. Nearly 85 percent of grade 3-8 students at UCAES scored average or higher on the language component.
    2. 69 percent of 3-8 students scored high average or better on language.
    3. No one scored below average on language.
    4. As public school scores dropped during COVID, our school's aggregate MAP scores rose. We work hard to help students continue to learn.
  3. Committed, qualified Christian teachers
  4. Solid financial aid for any student who wants to attend UCAES
  5. Full state accreditation
  6. Daily prayer, spiritual leadership, and character guidance
  7. Rural setting for good concentration with plenty of fresh air and room to play and learn outdoors
  8. Extracurricular events and programs such as winter skiing and snowboarding (part of our PE program), ice skating, trips to Spokane Fair and Green Bluff, and more
  9. Outdoor School at Camp MiVoden each year for 5th and 6th-graders
  10. New 7Up Spiritual Retreat at Camp MiVoden for grades 7-8
  11. Participation in the Upper Columbia Academy TechnicArts Fair and the academy Band/Choir Clinic for 7th and 8th-graders
  12. High school algebra, band classes, and the equestrian program at Upper Columbia Academy are available during 7th or 8th grade, if qualifications are met (scheduling must be worked out)

Immunization Information for Registration

Washington state now has a health registry (WAIIS) that contains immunization information for Washington residents, including students. Vaccination Exemption forms are also available to fill out.

1. For new students, a parent will need to turn in a signed and dated CIS (immunization record) form as part of the registration packet to give consent for access to your child's immunization record. It's easiest to simply ask your pediatrician to fax your child's immunization record directly to the school at 509-242-1633 (or email it to info@ucaes.org).

2. If you're a returning student and Washington resident, you only need to turn in a signed CIS form at registration each fall for school permission to access the immunization record.
