Since our school is smaller and rural, we have been able to continue meeting in person with the full state-required COVID plan of measures in place. While the whole plan is detailed, the five pillars are simple:
Screening: A daily emailed questionnaire of symptoms to ensure students are symptom-free before they come to school.
Cleaning: Extra cleaning, vacuuming, and ventilation.
Hand-washing: Hands are washed before and after a number of activities throughout the day.
Face Coverings: Every person coming into the school must wear a face covering while they're here, including parents and guests.
Social Distancing: Students and staff social distance throughout the day--desks are distanced and students eat in shifts, for example.
